HyperLab 2002.3d Update PURPOSE This update eliminates some annoying problems in HyperLab Gamma Spectroscopy System 2002.3a, 2002.3b, 2002.3c. This version contains only executable files, so this is not fully functional version - e.g. you can not create a new database with this update. It is intended only to replace the original binary files in an existing HyperLab 2002.3 installation. INSTALLATION As this is a tentative (Beta) version, we suggest that you install this update first time in a separate folder from your previous HyperLab 2002.3 installation. Should any problem detected using this update, you can easily return to your previous stable version. If this update performs well, then you should consider to remove it, and install again over your previous HyperLab 2002.3 installation, replacing the original executable files, but retaining other information. LIST OF CHANGES - Storing of peak evaluation results into database is much faster and takes a lot less memory. This is especially significant if the database contains several hundred peak evaluations. - Database file attaching is now creates also an ODBC alias. Earlier versions omitted this step, thus unexpected errors occured when users tried to move databases between two separated computers. OTHER INFORMATION Please inform us about any problems or suggestions about this update. Any feedback is welcome. info@hlabsoft.com HyperLabs Software, Budapest, Hungary March 17, 2005
